When I was new to web designing and web hosting, I used one tools which was very useful to me to find the best Domain registration and Web Hosting companies. Before register my first domain name, I searched for the WHOIS record of the other best websites. I used "Network Solutions" Whois record searching tool till two years back. Why keyword is important

Why the keywords are so important to your online home business website?

In my previous posts, i tried to explain how to select your keyword rich domain name. Here I like to tell why keywords are so important.
If you have a website and need more targeted traffic ( Means, the visitors who are looking for the same information what your web site's content contains) the one and only way is to obtain a top listing on search engine results. Most of the traffic to my website are comes from Google. Yes, it is about 80%. Still I am not on the first three listing for the keywords I am targeting. If my website will be listed on the first top 3 listing, I will receive about 600 to 1000 highly targeted visitors to my website.
Actually, my website is about home business in India. But I made a great mistake on choosing my domain name four years before, while I was not having much knowledge on Search engine optimization techniques. But, I am trying other ways to get the top 3 result for the targeted keyword.
So, search engines are the only source to bring more targeted traffic. I am keep on trying on improving my ranking. Whenever I made changes to my website, I will post the details here.
There are other ways to bring targeted traffic to your website. Among them. Google's Adword is standing on the top position. If you implement this PPC advertisement program effectively, you can definitely achieve the right traffic to your home business website. Traffic is more important among all other factors.
So, give important to keywords from the beginning of your Online home business journey. Search engine ranking is a difficult task. But it not an impossible task. Learn the tricks every day. Online domain tools

In my last post "Selecting home business domain", I explained how you combine your searched keywords to select your online work from home business domain name. Here, I try to explain some best online domain suggesting tools.

Here I searched the term "SAREE" at first. But I did not get any good result for the top searched key phrases. Those domain name key phrases are all already taken by others. See my result by clicking on the below picture.
I tried many combinations. But I did not get a right domain name with highly searched keyphrase for "SAREE". So, I decided to try another tools from "www.domaintools.com.

Selecting home business domain

I explained the details of using the overture tool on my previous Article " Online Home Business Keywords". Now I will explain, how I am normally choosing the name for my website domain.

When you looked on the results the following will be the right name for your website.

• Indiasaree.com
• Indiasareeshop.com
• Weddingsaree.com
• Indiaweddingsaree.com
• Silksaree.com
• Indiasilksaree.com
• Sareeworld.com
• Indiasareeworld.com
• Sarisaree.com
• Indiasarisaree.com

When you look the results, you can get many keyword rich domain names for your home business website. But the truth is, the domain names may have been already taken by some other people. So you need to search for different combination. But here, the top five key words are India, Saree, Shop, Wedding and Silk. Combine these words for your domain name. Better not to go more than three words on your domain name.
You can try this technique on designing your blog like this one at blogger.com. I think the term "How to wear saree" is a better try. Try for the Blog name (http://howtowearsaree.blogspot.com). If that name is available, you can create a blog on that name and teach people on wearing a saree. This blog may be a great start for your future online home business website.

Online home business keywords

Here is the way I used to select the keywords for my domain names, filenames, directory names and for the content on my web pages.

We can get a list of key phrases people using to search the internet by the " Overture Inventory Tool". Open this LINK in a new window. Search for a term "Saree". Now you will get the list with the count. The more the count, the more the search terms was searched on the internet. Click the picture for overture results for the term "Saree".

If you look at that it will be easy to understand what the people are looking for on the internet. If you are able sell saree online, you can go for the next step of choosing your domain name. Before that, search for different terms and copy paste the suggestion list on a Word or Excell document to make a print out. The actual count on this overture tool will give you an idea. The real searched count on Google search engine will be multi times more than this Overture Count. Overture count is based on Yahoo Search. Google share on the world searches is more than 60%. The rest of all other search engines will come under the 40%. So, we can multiply the overture count by 10 times to know the Google' search count. This is an example. Not the exact calculation.
